GCH CH Northwind’s Drive It Like You Stole It – “Lexus”
DOB 4-26-2026 Pedigree (courtesy of the whippet archives)
We went to the whippet National Specialty in Pasco, WA and got home four days before these puppies were born. It was a three day drive there and three days home. Along the way, we saw all sorts of western vistas, towns, and icons. The temporary names for this litter all follow a western theme.

Who says you can’t eat upside down?
There are three western ladies:

“BIG SKY”
The amazing vastness of the Montana skies have to be seen to be appreciated. Driving from one end of the state to the other explains the motto “big sky Montana”. |

|
| “DAKOTA”
Starting from the heavily wooded area of northern Minnesota, the contrast of the grasses and plains of North Dakota are simply superb. |

“MONTANA”
Once you get through North Dakota, the mountains begin to appear after the extreme vastness of the skies and plains and the change to driving in the canyons of the mountains was absolutely gorgeous. |

And four cowboys:
| “BOZEMAN”
A lovely area and purely a cool name for a puppy! |

“PONDEROSA”
The pines are so very different than the types we have in northern Minnesota and beautiful in a different way. |

| “STETSON”
What can I say – you just can’t have a western litter without a Stetson. |

“YELLOWSTONE”
I don’t know how many times we crossed the Yellowstone River on our drive. It meandered everywhere we went. |
