Matt, Tyler, John, John and Joe.

The 2018 Us Olympic curling goal medalists. Most come from Duluth, MN and are friends of ours. So, this litter celebrates curling and all are named for curling terms or people.

The puppies are all shown with my curling broom – if you’re ever in Duluth in the winter, I’ll take you for a lesson and show you how to curl….

“Shustie” at six weeks – lovely fawn and white parti-color
“Polo” thinking of the future with a paw on the curling broom.

“Skip” – she calls the shots
When a game isn’t fiercely competitive, like in a fun bonspiel or charity event, sometimes the skip calls for “broomstacking”. All players stacked up their brooms on the ice and take a moment to socialize and enjoy their favorite beverage. Curling is very civilized….

“Button”

In curling, the rocks closest to the “button” (center circle) score points.
“Golden” – fawn color – gold medal, makes sense!
“Piper”

A curling tradition is bagpipers leading curling teams out onto the ice.
