Think of those songs that when you hear the first notes, you reach for the dial and crank it up? These puppies are named for Retro songs in honor of their sire. These are all songs that simply make me smile.

There are two retro rock divas:

I just adore the Righteous Brothers song Unchained Melody “Melody” is a beautiful dark brindle with lovely blaze.

Who can resist Neil Diamond’s song Sweet Caroline?  “Caroline” is a surprising parti-color – much like grandma Glimmer.

And four rock legend males:

I adore Garth Brooks’ live version of Shameless. “Garth” has a pretty, shapely blaze, a white collar and a will be fairly dark like his sire.

From the first few heavy base beats my mind goes back to the 80’s with Prince’s Purple Rain. “Prince” has beautiful markings – a lovely blaze with a full white collar.

REO Speedwagon’s beginning notes of Riding the Storm Out are unmistakable. “Ryder” is a typical Irish marked fawn brindle and is ready to ride out down the road on his truck.

Don’t Stop Believing by Journey is just one of those classics that never dies. “Journey” is a lighter colored Irish marked brindle.
