They were all sleeping and obviously Sergeant was unimpressed with the activity of taking photos….

Puppies have temporary names for the time they live with us before joining their new families. It was the holiday season when they were born and what is more fun than opening a big old toy box? Some names are from Toy Story and some are childhood standards.

First are the seven boys and then the four girls.

Seven holiday hunks:

Tickle me “Elmo”. Who can forget the toy that laughed so uproariously you couldn’t help but join in?

 

“Lego” I remember watching my brother build a whole navy of Lego battleships spread across our basement.

“Sergeant” – Head of the little toy soldier troupe in “Toy Story”, Sergeant leads them in their missions.

“Buzz” Light Year “To Infinity and Beyond!”

 

“Tonka” – Just the best toy trucks ever.

“Checkers” The spots on his body remind me of the squares on a checkerboard.

 

“Woody” – Star of “Toy Story”, he is a toy superhero.

And here are the four gorgeous girls.

“Bo Peep” The beautiful shepherdess who hangs out with Woody in “Toy Story”

 

“Domino”  Her dark spots on white look like the white background and dots of a domino tile.

 

“Barbie”  – Who doesn’t know Barbie? The most famous doll of our time.

“Slinky”  One of my favorite toys as a kid. And yes, I did set it up to walk down a flight of stairs.
