Mark and I live outside of Duluth, MN. We are members of the Duluth Curling Club which is the home the majority of the 2018 men’s Olympic Gold Medal Team. We  know, like and respect these great guys, so this litter is a celebration of curling.

Puppies have temporary names for the time they live with us before joining their new families. The boys in this litter are named for John Shuster and Joe Polo, members of the Olympic team

The girls – curling terms are gender neutral:

“Button” – when you shoot for the target at the other end of the sheet of ice, the center circle is called the button. “Hitting the button” is a good thing. Notice the button on her head… whippet puppy

whippet puppy “Piper”  – At large curling events, a bagpiper “pipes” the teams into the arena. When they are finished, the bagpiper is paid with a dram of whisky. Hence “pay the piper” She is a very, very dark fawn brindle.
